Summary: Sara and Warrick, addicts addicted.

One skerit of hesitation passed through them as they fumbled with zips and buttons and straps. But like always, it passed within seconds as the compulsion surged and the act continued out of control.

For her it slipped down her throat; for him it was a calculated risk with everything hinging on it. Nothing had changed in the dark back room except for once, they were playing Russian Roulette with someone else but their own demons.

Like all needs, satisfaction was never apparent until the final, collapsing release of seering pleasure coming from the build up; the discarded attempts leaving foggy ecstacy as two addicts pushed and pulled with their emotions until selfishly, inevitably, they gave in and gave up.

Who was initiating and who was feeding was never apparent. Who was helping or who was cradling never came to question.

But like all addicts, the small rushes, the clandestine meetings, the hazardous under-table gropes were never as high as The High. So, like all addicts, they tried again and again and again; severing and isolating until the people around them recognised the patterns of self-destruction and tried to avert the path.

But addiction can only be cured by personal acceptance. And when two together do not want to admit defeat, the biggest force in nature is nothing compared to a duo addicts in denial.
